Mike Cavanaugh is the director of underwriting for Boost Insurance, where he is responsible for the development of new and emerging insurance products for insurtech businesses. Before joining Boost, he was the director of production and technology and the cyber liability product leader for a national specialty broker for 12 years out of Philadelphia.

His background in computer science and insurance has allowed him to provide insight into the changing cyber security risk management environment and insurtech landscape for the insurance community. He leverages that knowledge to address the gap in technology and insurance that prevents many companies and individuals from understanding the benefit of cyber insurance. Mike speaks on topics ranging from cyber liability and blockchain to the direction of the evolving insurtech marketplace.

He is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University School of Risk Management and a Certified Ethical Hacker.
